Leslie Howard Forever, Captured! or Inafferrabile Leslie Howard, Captured! (1933)

Captured! is a 1933 pre-code American film about RAF Capt. Fred Allison (Leslie Howard) who has been languishing in a German POW camp for two years. Capt. Allison has been waiting for a letter from his wife and wondering why she hasn't written to him in such a long time when his recently captured friend, Lt. Jack "Dig" Digby (Douglas Fairbanks Jr.) is sent to the same camp. Capt. Allison is happy to see his friend—happy as one can be when a friend is captured—and sees his chance to hear news from home. But Lt. Digby isn't so happy to see Allison, acting perturbed and impatient with Allison's questions his his wife. It seems that while Allison has been trying to keep his spirits up in a POW camp for the last two years, "Dig" has been carrying on with Allison's wife back home.
