BBC Report About Leslie Howard's Death

[BBC Report of Leslie Howard's Death] On Saturday, July 30, I posted on Facebook the 2014 BBC report on Leslie Howard's Death ...

Where Have We Met

Where Have We Met by Jefferson Farjeon
Queen's Theatre, London
Rôle: He
Total Performances: One
10/07/1928

ref: Wearing, p. 622 • Probably a misprint. P. 127 of Wearing also shows "Leslie Howard" as Stage Director for a production called The Faithful Heart, 11/12/21, which Eforgan includes in her book in the Theatre and Film Work Index. That entry proves that misprints and/or wrong ascriptions can occur in Wearing's book because Howard could not have been in New York and London at the same time. It is physically possible that Leslie Howard appeared in Where Have We Met because he was in London at this time and he did appear in another one-performance-charity production in December. This theatre credit does not appear in any books about Leslie Howard or on any other websites, but neither does the charity production in December which I do believe Howard appeared in. There was a Howard Leslie and a Leslie Howard Gordon working in the theatre in London at that time which has led to some confusion.
